about

After an initial and overly ambitious idea borne of Quetzal's wish to play music, uninterrupted, for as long as possible, she and Nika aimed to have a session they organized, where any friends and companions could join their little communion, which would go uninterrupted for 12 hours. Several difficulties of different natures made this impossible to execute, but for the time being, The Wandering Luminous, currently consisting of Quetzal (Glowing Mage), Avalina (Lightcaster), Nika (Radiant One), Harvey (Sparkmaker) and Teruki (Bright Gleam), a collective of improvised and adventurous folk and jazz performance was born in a dusty and decrepit little basement.
Only a little under 50 minutes remains of the first session of the Luminous's music, but we are happy to share this joyous, diverse, engaging and rhythmic little session of the five musicians creating whatever entered their collective conscious.
The album cover was created and graciously gifted to us by Allison Chroma, as a visual representation of the music therein.

All music on the album was recorded on January 23rd, 2023, in Leeds, UK.
