Returning in 2023 with two new projects at the same time, both continuations of the FMD series, Quetzal created a collaborative EP with the multi-instrumentalist, haeccia. Welcome their contemplations on sound, the philosophy of improvised music, returned into its own format, with the added element of overwhelming emotions to guide the musical journeys. The recordings for the project were sporadic, but all the more inspired for it, including an incredible diversity of sounds conjured up by the sheer volume of different instruments, played in a variety of different styles, some familiar, some new and exciting for followers of Quetzal's music. Coiled serpents through soprano saxophones, cold and angular guitar sounds, warm and noisy bass clarinets, altered violins and more await. We sincerely hope you enjoy and find these concepts capable of inspiring contemplations of your own.
All music present on the album was recorded between January and December of 2021.

It's short, but haeccia is an incredible producer and made takes that I initially wasn't proud of even back in 2021 sound like things that make me happy to hear right now in 2023. Not to even mention how incredibly tight his playing is on this, it's honestly crazy. I hope you find as much enjoyment in listening as I did nervousness in waiting for it to be ready and out there!"
