Finishing the 4 project run of Free Music Duets, Quetzal Tirado returns again with a completely different style, a collaboration with Yuuhi Aoki, a no-input mixing board player. This is the take of their two short sessions cut up, edited and mashed together to form a monstrous approximation of electroacoustic improvisation with Tirado returning to her reeds, a soprano saxophone and a bass clarinet. The inspiration behind the unique style of production comes from Japanese noise artist Kazumoto Endo and the free improvisation duo XT. The unusual combination of reeds with the electronic sounds of the mixing board provide perfect counterpoint to one another and allow enough breathing space for solos from both parties.
The performances were recorded in December of 2020 and later remixed and cut up in June of 2021.

"I was really on the fence about what to do with this session, I felt that my playing lacked the depth to stay convincing and I didn't want to put all the pressure on Yuuhi. With her permission, I looked at those insane Killer Bug records, listened to Palina'tufa by XT and tried to go for that sound. I'm no expert but I've definitely heard nothing like what we did here."
