about

A collaboration with two musicians and great friends of Quetzal Tirado's brings us to a great revelation about the artist's roots, as the EP is aptly titled in her mother tongue, Hungarian. Quetzal's ambitions for the release was to bring back the uproar of the European free jazz scene of the late 1960's to early 1970's and combine it with her ambitions for spiritualism.

Aiding her in this are British guitarist and frequent collaborator, Alex Wlach, and for the first time in the Night Collectors' library, Sam Watson, an American saxophonist and pianist.

The three make noise quite unlike any of the trio's previous efforts in two somber yet cacophonous numbers, dedicated to the man most claim to be the "inventor of free jazz", saxophonist Ornette Coleman, as a cover of his 1959 song, Lonely Woman, and on the first side, to the man who started the free jazz movement in Hungary, pianist Szabados György.

Remastered during June, 2020. Renewed release out on the 26th of June, 2020.
